Kana and Chihiro's Post Wedding Photo Shoot!

It was a great pleasure to work with this fun-loving couple, Kana and Chihiro from Tokyo! After their wedding day, we decided to go to Kailua and have a beach and town-themed photo shoot. One of the props they wanted to use were Supreme's water guns! In between romantic intimate photos, I asked them to pick up the water guns, and fight REAL hard! Both Kana and Chiriro were such action stars! They shoot, dodge, tumble on the sand, and the person who won the fight was… KANA! Later on we went to the first skateboarding shop in Hawaii - called 808 Skate per Chihiro's request. Check out their wedding photo blog (Click Here) to see his skateboarding tricks too!

綺麗なビーチでの撮影がしたい！ということで、結婚式の翌日にロケーション撮影に行ってきました。朝の東海岸のビーチは海の色がとても綺麗で、この日もとてもいいお天気に恵まれました：）色々なフォトプロップをお持ちいただいたのですが、私のお気に入りはSupremeの水鉄砲！思いっきり戦ってもらいました（笑）撃って、撃って、避けて、撃って、転がって…勝者は花嫁のKanaさん：）アクティブなお二人との撮影はとても楽しかったです。

ビーチの後は、スケボーが好きなChihiroさんのリクエストで、ハワイのスケボー第一店舗だという808 Skateに言ってきました。中には沢山の種類のスケボーが勢揃い。お二人らしい、カラフルな写真になりました。

親友でもあり、夫婦でもあり、そんな仲良しなお二人。これからもお幸せに！

Midori & Satoru's Honeymoon!

Midori and Satoru came to Hawaii for their wedding and honeymoon, and wanted me to capture a day of them hanging out in town! They are a big fan of a Japanese TV show, in which the TV host visits recommended places in Hawaii, and they wanted to visit where he visited in the program. Starting from Queen's Surf Cafe in Waikiki, we had a morning coffee. Then, it was on to the great Banyan tree in Kapiolani Park,  followed by eating oxtail soup at Asahi Grill. We ended the day by eating malasada at Leonard's Bakery.

I loved hanging out with them, and be part of their day :-) Midori and Satoru are for sure "BEST BUDDIES" before a lovie-dovie couple. They requested pictures being not too intimate, rather being natural and having a good time. That made them feel more comfortable in front of the camera, and I am happy to see their fun happy faces in the pictures.

みどりさん、さとるさん、ご結婚おめでとうございます。

結婚式とハネムーンでハワイにいらっしゃったお二人。テレビで見た素敵な場所を巡りたい！その様子を写真に残したい！ということで、お二人の「遊んでいる」様子を撮影させて頂きました:-) ワイキキのクイーンズサーフカフェから始まり、カピオラニ公園の菩提樹の木を訪れたり、朝日グリルのオックステールスープを食べに行ったり...そして締めにはレナーズのマラサダも食べに行ってきました:-)

一緒に時間を過ごしていて、いかにおふたりが「大親友」であるか実感する事ができました。どこに行くかも大切だけど、「誰と行くのか」って大事だなと思わせてくれたカップルさんでした。

Izumi & Robert's Wedding Formals at Ko Olina

Izumi and Robert came from North Dakota, and although being legally married for a few years, they did not have a chance to have a wedding ceremony or photos taken in the past, because of Robert's deployment. Recently he was back in the US, and they were able to begin a nice family life together. During their first Hawaii vacation together, they decided to have a photo session with us in Ko Olina!

With Meileen's amazing hair-do and make-up as usual, Izumi looked stunning in her wedding dress. During couple photo sessions, I always ask them to look into each others eyes... and smile... and kiss. Izumi and Robert were very good at bringing out their romantic emotions anytime I asked them those requests :-) I could see there is a strong chemistry between the two, and that made me want be just like them - being super lovie-dovie, even after years of marriage life!

いづみさん、ロバートさん、おめでとうございます！

数年前に入籍はしたものの、式やお写真がまだということで、今回ハワイ旅行を兼ねて結婚写真を撮影する事に。サンセットのコオリナまで撮影に行きました。旦那様のお仕事の関係で、やっと一緒に暮らせるようになったというお二人は、結婚して年月が経っているにもかかわらず、見つめ合う視線はとってもロマンチックで愛情に溢れていらっしゃいました。これからも仲良く素敵なご夫婦でいてくださいね。

Honeymoon Photo Shoot in Ko Olina

Jun and Minoru, from Okayama in Japan decided to have a photo session with me for their honeymoon memories, and also to show to their guests at the wedding reception later this month back in Japan! Both Jun and Minoru love surfing, and they were super happy to visit Hawaii :-) They have such strong chemistry with each other - throughout the session, they were so much smiling and laughing with each other, and that made me super happy too! They encountered a honu (turtle) when we went to the beach, and it was cute to watch them pretending to be turtles :-)

じゅんさん＆みのるさん

ご入籍おめでとうございます！
ハネムーンでいらっしゃったおふたり。記念に写真撮影を、ということで一緒にコオリナまで撮影に行ってきました:-)

サーフィンが大好き♬というお二人はとってもアクティブで朗らかなカップルさんでした。ビーチでカメに遭遇したときにはカメのものまねをしたり（笑）ジャンプショットもすごく楽しく跳んでくれて、撮影中はたくさんの笑顔を頂きました。ありがとうございます:-) これからも仲良し＆幸せなご夫婦でいて下さいね。

Kaori & Wataru ~ Love Dolphins!

Kaori and Wataru flew from Japan to get married at beautiful Ko Olina. When they contacted me they had already pre-booked a photographer for their wedding, but they wanted to have additional pictures of their lunch reception.  So we decided to have some fun with a 3 hour photo session in Waikiki.

We exchanged emails many times before meeting in person just a day before their wedding.  Kaori and Wataru showed me a cute "bride-n-groom" dolphin that they brought from Japan! We decided to bring it on our photo shoot as well as a custom-made Hawaiian quilt that also had dolphins on it :-)

Kaori and Wataru were so adorable with each other, and I really had a great time with them. Kaori told me that some day she would like to add a baby dolphin on the quilt and come back to Hawaii for a family picture! I am looking forward to our "three dolphin" photo session in the future :-)  best wishes to them! 

佳織さんと渉さん、ご結婚おめでとうございます！
「挙式とレセプションはカメラマンがもう決まっていたけれど、結婚式の後でフォトツアーをしたい」ということで、ワイキキでの写真撮影をすることに。結婚したてほやほやのお二人は、一緒にいるだけでとっても幸せそうでした♪ハワイアンキルトや結婚式で使用したイルカのぬいぐるみなど撮影小物も持って来て頂けたので、バラエティに富んだ素敵な写真がたくさん残せました。これからも、末永くお幸せにいてくださいね！

Silhouette in Waikiki

Hawaii has nicest sunset almost everyday. Yellow, orange, pink, purple.. everyday is unique. Kaori and Wataru were very lucky to encounter this beautiful sunset in Waikiki. Earlier, the color was orange and aqua color and later it changed to pink and ultramarine. More pictures from their session are coming soon :-)

Fun Fun Photo Tour!

     Sumie and Hiroaki decided to take their pre-wedding pictures while they were visiting Hawaii! They came over from Japan to spend their time together as boyfriend & girlfriend one last time... since they are getting married in the end of the month back in Japan :-) They had an idea of taking pictures in Hawaii-y places in the wedding outfit. My phone rang one afternoon, and Sumie told me that Isle Media was referred by the hotel concierge where they were staying at. They did not have anything besides their great fun personality - no dress or tax, or transportation. My suggestion was - let's rent the outfit out, and I would drive you around and take fun pictures in beautiful locations you would love! So we went to Waikiki city center, Magic Island, and Waimanalo.

     Our 3.5 hour session went by so fast, and I was so happy to take their pictures! They were just merely happy to be each other. I didn't even have to ask them to smile at each other :D Love and laughter were everywhere around them. It was such a fun fun photo tour!  ~ Kay

おめでとうございます！すみえさん＆ひろあきさん

日本での結婚式を控えた素敵なカップルとフォトツアーに行ってきました。ドレスをワイキキでレンタルしたあとは、おすすめの３カ所のロケーション（ワイキキ、マジックアイランド、ワイマナロ）でのフォトツアーに行ってきました。お二人ともとっても仲良しで、撮影している私までニコニコしてしまう、そんな楽しい３時間半の時間でした。元気いっぱいで愛情もいっぱいなお二人の撮影の様子をどうぞお楽しみください。
