As a proud parent of two, I know first hand how fast the time goes by when you have children. Last time I saw Toby he was just a little (but BIG) boy, and next thing I know he is already turning one! Shine and Tio opened up the doors to their home for us to grab some BTS footage of a day in the life of the Tiotuico family. #TRUELIFE. Look for Toby's "angry face" (or "mommy face" Tio likes to call it). Innocence at its finest.

Happy Birthday Jacob & Olivia!

How exciting to take adorable pictures of TWIN brother and sister! Both of them were full of energy, and it was fun to capture their candid smiles :-) There were a swimming pool, bouncy house, water slider, lots of fun stuff and all the keiki were having a blast! Ryder's 1st Birthday!

Happy Birthday Ryder!

As much as I like taking pictures at weddings, one of my most favorite events to capture is Keiki Parties! The theme of this party was "The Cat in the Hat" and there were many decorations of the character all over the place. The kids were so excited for the face paint and balloon show, and of course, the biggest entertainment:  the Hypnosis Show :D All the volunteers were SUPER funny! There was no shortage of laughter in the room...I was laughing behind my camera as well so much :-) I loved seeing great family getting together for Ryder's first birthday, and he received so much cerebration from all the guests. Ethan's 1st Birthday!

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Glenn and I were so happy to film this amazingly fun party to cerebrate Ethan's first birthday :-) His mother Sherrie was working SO hard to make this happen and was making sure that everybody was having fun... it was a huge success to me! There were merry-go-rounds, face paint, tatoo, balloon stations, popcorn and cotton candy stands, a photo booth by Photo Box Hawaii (SO MUCH FUN!), dancers, and a clown show too! This birthday was so eventful, and I was able to capture lots of nice emotions in the pictures.

I hope in the future, when Ethan is a bit older, he will take a look at this blog post and know how much he is loved by his parents, families and friends. Please enjoy the photos :D

Ethan's 1st Birthday! (Preview)

This is one of my favorite shots from Ethan's birthday party last week! The theme was a "carnival." There were fun carousel rides outside, popcorn & cotton-candy makers, face paint, balloon and face paint artists, photo booth, and a 40 minute clown show (the kids were so hooked!!) - pretty much everything a child could wish for.   :D This picture was taken on a merry-go-round before the start of  this epic party! Happy First Birthday Jaden!!

  

   One of the reasons why I love working as a photographer in Hawaii is that I can experience different cultures. I heard in Hawaii, people celebrate baby's first birthday very big, and it is called "Keiki" party! In Japanese, "Keiki" means "cake" so I thought it was a perfect double meaning since in Hawaiian, Keiki means "kids".

   November 19 Saturday, Jaden had his first birthday cerebrated by his lovely parents, Sunshine and Tio, and lots of friends and families. Throughout the day, I could see how much Sunshine and Tio love their special one. Their smiles were so charming, and they made me want to become a parent like them! I hope in the future, Jaden will see these photos and feel that he is truly loved by his parents and everybody around him.

Celebrating 1 year of life, from a different perspective!

Isle Media decided to bring the cinema concept to keiki parties and recorded the proud parent's reaction to watching their video for the first time. I think by looking Sunshine and Tio's faces, you can tell that they definately felt something. Sometimes in life we tend to look over the simple things, but cameras are beautiful in that they capture these these moments in a way you never imagined.  It's so rewarding to see the instant joy on their faces.  Thank you for having us there to film your baby and showcase at your 1st birthday party reception.
