Hello blog readers! As Alan mentioned earlier, we switched over to a completely new website, in order to help us with the expansion of our services and content. The new website features a built-in blog, which is where we will be posting all of our content from now on. Please bookmark it, as we will be deleting this Blogger page once everything is moved over. Tomorrow's Our Big Day!!

May 31st marks our company's 2nd year anniversary, and we are very excited for the big day tomorrow at the Honolulu Design Center! We are anticipating a packed house (over 200+ confirmed guests!), and can't wait to present a series of videos that looks back on an incredible year. Doors open at 6pm...we'll see you there!!

Alan first became interested in media through Youtube superstar influences including Devin Supertramp and Wong Fu Productions, whom he considers to be some of the most innovative and creative artists on the planet. Alan was inspired to buy his first DSLR camera, which eventually led to the creation of Isle Media founded on May 31, 2011. His story began when a previous co-worker asked Alan to shoot his first wedding with no formal training or experience. One wedding, led to over 100 weddings in a years time, having shot all over Oahu, Kauai, Kona, Maui and recently in Las Vegas and San Francisco. In addition to being Isle Media’s Chief Executive Officer, Alan oversees the video, photo and hair/make-up teams. Alan hopes to one day release his own full feature film on the big screen. Pastimes include weight training, Bikram Yoga, wine and traveling. Alan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Hawaii Pacific University.

Remi and Branden was our second couple that has ever flown Isle Media to shoot their wedding outside of Hawaii.  This was one of four weddings we were booked for in four completely different cities/islands.  12-12-12 was a huge wedding day for us and for everyone else around the world.

San Francisco was AWESOME.   Elements that we don't have in Hawaii such as: historical architecture, the Golden Gate Bridge, and lets not forget that chilly weather!  Remi and Branden's wedding was small and intimate.  Simplistic and elegant.  Emotional heartfelt ceremonial vows at City Hall and pictures took place at the Palace of Fine Arts.  And we got so lucky with blue skies and sunshine!  (we must have brought it over from Hawaii, right?)  More luck was brought to us when our wedding was chosen to be interviewed and broadcasted on the Bay Area local news!  (http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/12-12-12-Weddings-Flood-Bay-Area-City-Halls-183265372.html)

Thank you for an unforgettable experience in San Francisco.  I have a feeling we'll be coming back.  : )

Isle Media New Photo Album!

Isle Media is excited to announce that we just started offering newly designed photo albums for wedding pictures! The size is 10 x 10 inches, 20 pages long, and it comes with a custom designed cover on it. You have a choice of either a cushion-covered album for nice feel, or a hard-covered album for more durability.

The album order is accepted both before and after your wedding. If you would like to select specific photos to be used in the album, you may choose the photos after you receive our final photo product on a DVD/flash drive.

Isle Media Holiday Video. Come get to know us!

Being that its the holiday season and all, what better time then now then to reflect on everything we are grateful for.  I've come to the realization that Isle Media is more than just a job to us.  We are a family.   Our shared passion for media and art binds us like glue. Whether we are out in the field shooting, or in the office editing, we cherish every moment we have being able to do what we love every single day.

Today, it was our turn to be in front of the cameras. In which most of the time, the Isle Media boys ran away from me saying... "DAD, THE CAMERA IS MAKING ME FEEL AWKWARD!!!" Our goal in this piece is that even though we are almost always serious at work, every now and then, we enjoy cutting loose and having fun.

Canon meets Nikon. Photo meets video. Old school meets new school. Reinventing ourselves. Special thanks to the entire team for all of their hard work! We have some new faces!!! : )

Isle Media Winter Company Photoshoot BTS!

Here's a sneak peak at our Winter-themed company shoot that we did this past weekend! Everyone came together for formal group photos and a concept music video (all done in-house) that involved a black and white vibe, along with lots of fog! Stay tuned for the photos and video from the shoot!

Isle Media Videography Workshop@ The Sacred Hearts Academy

It's unbelievable to think that we have anything significant to pass down to our future generations, but surprisingly, we were able to create a highly interactive and exciting 2 hour videography workshop for the bright and motivated girls at Sacred Hearts Academy.   The picture above, is their digital media club.  I wish we had a digital media club when growing up!  And let me tell you, these girls are SMART.  And so highly enthusiastic about digital media and arts.  We were floored by how quickly they have picked up videography and editing.  Who knows?  Perhaps we were able to inspire some of these young women to be professional videographers  one day.  :  )

Isle Media is participating in the Hawaii Bridal Expo this weekend! This is the best expo for those who are seeking for information anything related to a wedding - including media vendors (photo, video, photo booth, etc), make-up & hair artists, wedding venues, food catering services, dresses, cakes, decors, classic rental cars, and so on! There will also be several fashion shows going on as well :-) 

At our booth, we will be sharing our current photography & cinematography highlights, via our interactive ipad displays :) Also, on Friday night and Sunday afternoon, our make-up team will be hosting a beauty bar for some make-up trials (first come first served)!

New Photo CD Jackets!

I would like to introduce our photography team's final product. After each wedding, we photographers (Reese and I) work on editing, and this is what you will receive in the end :-) We choose our most favorite shot and make it to the front cover of the CD case. Isle Media Turns 1!

It seemed like just yesterday the Isle Media team first came to know each other on this small island, talking about how we were going to start a new wedding media concept that hopefully, people might like. I cannot describe the emotions that we experienced celebrating our one year anniversary as a company in front of an audience of our supporters. Hundreds of people, including our friends, family, colleagues, past/future clients gathered to share this very special night with us. Later, many commented that it was very clear how much we love each other.

This premier is one of many more milestones to come :)

Hey guys! Reese here. I updated this blog post with some BTS images I shot before the doors opened for our anniversary. Wanted to start off with an image of Kristin's two stunning cakes, one that she custom made for our premier! Yup, that's a Canon 5D mkIII at the top! Kristin also made 200 cupcakes to put into each gift-bag for the premier guests. Enjoy!!

Isle Media Turns One Today!!!

On May 31, 2011, Isle Media LLC was founded by Alan Sangpan with the intention of bringing a fresh vision to the local wedding industry. Today marks our 1 year anniversary, and we want to extend a BIG mahalo to everyone who have helped us get to this point! Family, friends, clients, industry partners, you all have made this possible for us! It's been a truly amazing experience, from meeting couples at the expos, to traveling inter-island for destination weddings, to undertaking creative projects with local artists. 

Tonight is our premier event...as you may have heard earlier, there is no admission :) We are covering it as a thank you for everyone's support over the past 12 months. Please come, and enjoy a behind the scenes look at our company, as well as our industry partners! Hope to see you there!!

1,000 Page Views!!!

Hey guys!

We just wanted to send a big Mahalo to everyone for supporting or blog! We began blogging only three months ago, and it's humbling to see all the page views we've received since then!

August and September were all packed with jobs (at one point, we had 7 straight weekends of weddings!!), so we've been fortunate to have some down time this month to edit.
