Bone Marrow Registry Golf Tournament

Recently we received the opportunity to give back to the community and provide our services to Hawaii's Bone Marrow Donor Registry at their annual golf tournament held at the Hawaii Prince Golf course.  Volunteers, bone marrow donors, and recipients gathered together and had a great time on the golf course.  It's always great to be able to do what you love for a worthy cause, I was extremely humbled in the dinner that took place after the tournament as cancer survivors talked about their experiences.

We were so grateful and honored when Life Foundation invited us to produce a short PSA for public broadcasting.   Short, sweet, and straight to the point.  It was a fun shoot!  (BTW, for those that did not know, the red stripe on the finger is symbolic for the negative reading on an AIDS/HIV testing kit).

AccesSurf!!

This year, we've discovered that the work we produce can go beyond weddings and commercial and help others in the community. We recently partnered up with AccesSurf, a non-profit organization that gives children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy surfing and water recreation. The organization holds monthly events at the beach, drawing disabled participants and their families for an afternoon of fun and recreation. This past weekend, we went out to White Plains Beach to document the February event. It was quite an eye-opening experience for all of us! Just to see the excitement and joy in the eyes of the participants as they got to surf or play in the water really hit home, and it was awesome to document the whole event. Hard Rock Cafe provided food for the event, so everyone was well-fed and happy after a great time in the water :)
