Argie and Dennis had of an epic love story that started as being high school sweethearts. It was only suitable that they had an epic wedding consisting a beautiful ceremony at the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Crystal Chapel and an elaborate reception at the Hyatt, following. What I loved about working with Argie and Dennis is the movie trailer we filmed prior to their wedding!  Check it out!

We always love it when couples take the time to write their vows to each other, and Alysia and Mike's were written straight from the heart...when your vows take up an entire piece of paper, instead of a notecard, that's saying a lot! We also appreciated all the details of the day, from the glass lanterns, to the bridal party's fans, to Alysia's very cool retro umbrella. When these two held each other during formals, it was as if the whole world just melted away...gotta love moments like that :)

Emjay and Ginno had a such an awesome wedding in Kauai. Everything was small and intimate enough so that no detail was spared with anything (thanks to you guys, now having a draped tent at my daughters' first birthday is a MUST, $$$ sigh). Rustic burlap accented chairs, shave ice station, sparklers for the first dance! Ah.... so many cool ideas. I smiled so big while editing this piece... (you two were just so darn cute, and a think everyone's a little bit envious with how perfect this day turned out)!

"I DOOOOOOOO"  Danny groaned at the ceremony (followed by tremendous laughter from everyone).  Danny was definitely more at home as soon as he jumped on his Harley, packing Shar clad in her wedding dress on the back  : )   We witnessed some unbelievable singing, dancing, and ukelele performances from the entire Carilllo Ohana!   Only fitting that we would surprise Shar and Danny's entire reception with adebut of Shar's first music video "Please Come Home for Christmas."   Danny, you got yourself a keeper!!!  But Shar said it best at the end of the night, "There would be no Shar Carillo without Danny."  He will always and forever be her biggest fan.

Whitney and Lam were so cute together.  I couldn't help but feel how excited they were to be finally be getting married.  We utilized the famous Hale Koa Banyan Tree, because we couldn't ignore the gorgeous light leaks that came through the canopy.  Whitney and Lam's bridal party did a little ninja showdown before heading down to the ceremony at Manoa Chapel.  We really enjoyed the intimacy of having the ceremony in such a small space.  Great job to the pianist, btw!  If you look carefully towards the end, we paired the cake topper with the finishing shot.  : )

Bianca and Joe were so classy! They had impeccable taste from the decor to their music choices. It was so heartwarming to see these two (very comical) families come together all the way in Hawaii. It was clear that there were many people that cared very deeply about Bianca and Joe. We were surprised with an ultra fiery, intense sunset, that peaked through the clouds finishing off their incredible day. Thank you for a memorable wedding Bianca and Joe!

Valerie and Alan called me just a few weeks before their wedding. Sometimes, its not until the very last minute people realize that videography is something that is of importance. No problem! We were happy to have been chosen for their big day. Valerie and Alan's wedding was planned all in Waikiki. Hytatt >> St. Augustine Church >> Kapiolani Park >> back to the Hyatt. We really enjoyed shooting on the outdoor terrace of the Hyatt with the ocean right below the reception. Everything was beautiful!

Karen and David were lucky enough to have met each other in high school as teenagers.  (If only we could all be so fortunate to meet our soul mate so early on in life)  It seems as though they knew all along that they would one day end up together.  Karen and David had lots of love and support from their entire family.  Even a gorgeous rainbow peaked through the clouds just after they tied the knot.

It is no secret that the Japanese have impeccable style and taste. Kana had the coolest little custom bouquets for her bridesmaid and herself that I had never seen before. Kana had several stunning dress changes as well. Chihiro sported a multi-layered blue pinstripe suit that was just super cool. It's amazing that we have the opportunity to be immersed in foreign cultures here in Hawaii.

ハワイカイにある邸宅、ビーチフロントオアシスでの挙式＆レセプションを挙げられたお二人。一つ一つ小さな生花を敷き詰めてお友達カップルが作ったリングピロー、ブライズメイドがサプライズで作ってくれたお揃いのネックレス、どんなシーンでも一緒にいる時間が心地よく楽しい、そんなたくさんのお友達に囲まれて、みんなで作り上げた素晴らしい一日でした。

友達っていいなって改めて思わせていただいたお二人の結婚式に、フォト＆ビデオチームが両方撮影に携われてとても嬉しく思います！

Maile and Robert SDE (Sunset Ranch, North Shore)

Maile and Robert built their relationship through a passion they both share: Karate. Throughout the day, we saw just how much these two love the martial art, from the speeches of their fellow dojo members, to the formals where they busted out some moves!

On another note, it really says something about a guy when he is willing to leave his family, friends and job in Slovakia, in order to be with the woman he loves on the other side of the world in Hawaii! Robert did just this, and found ways to blend his own Slovakian heritage with the wedding (i.e the traditional honey cake and dinner blessings in Slovakian!) The couple's big day took place at Sunset Ranch on the North Shore, with lots of family and friends present to help celebrate the occasion. Maile and Robert are also expecting a child, so that definitely added to the festivities of the day! Congratulations you two!

When people say we live on a small island, it really is true! This was one of the rare occasions where I happen to know every single person in the bridal party, EXCEPT Brad and Charity! It does sure help when you do have some rapport already with the people that you will be spending the entire day with. But what was memorable was the stormy skies and dark clouds that loomed rather ominously overhead. Scary! It rained....and it poured! But right when the ceremony was about to begin the clouds miraculously parted and the rained stopped (and then it started up again once the ceremony was over, lol). But at least we had a dry ceremony!

We highly encourage our couples to loosen up on the big day. Sometimes, if may require a little alcoholic influence, in which we say go for it! Jane and Harold sure didn't hold back on that one (LOL). My favorite line during their personalized vow exchange was, "I am yours, and you are MINE." Written by Harold #likeaboss! They had a couples Tahitian duet together towards the peak of the night which made the audience roar with laughter and applause. What a great day and night!

Cori and Justin's marriage is another beautiful story of local girl meets mainland boy. We were happy to see splashes of Hawaii culture integrated into their wedding day, including a personalized Hula surprise for him. But thats not all, Cori even designed custom jewelry for all her bridesmaids. She is super talented! And Justin loves his J's! I was informed that by licking the shoes you claim them as yours. I learn something new everyday! Lol.

Maria and Daniel first inquired with us over a year and a half ago, and it was so nice for their big day to finally come around.  What was most impressive was that Maria and Daniel have been together 17+ years!   They are originally from New Zealand, although they currently live in Australia....and brought a chill, laid back island vibe to their wedding day (thank you for that!).  We loved their grande entrance, and the many little cultural touches they had to the decor and entertainment.

It's not so uncommon nowadays to get ready in one hotel, and married in another! Kathy and Derek utilized the best of both worlds by starting off at the Trump Waikiki, and ending up down the street for the ceremony/reception at the Hale Koa. Kathy and her friends were super giggly all morning. I couldn't figure out why! Perhaps it could have been a bunch of cameras in their faces (or the mimosas). Either way, made for good photo/video ; )

It's so nice to have clients that follow and appreciate our work from thousands of miles away. We had another opportunity to travel this summer for Kristin and Jake's wedding in Madison, Wisconsin. The day started shooting in a church for their traditional ceremony, followed by a walk along the water where Kristin and Jake first met. It was so breathtaking to see the capital building first hand (and be sure to look for the squirrel!).

Chanel and Enoka Married! (Hale Koa, Waikiki)

Chanel and Enoka go wayyyyy back to high school days when Enoka would court Chanel by escorting her to and from all of her classes. It seemed as though no time had passed as Enoka watched Chanel walk down the ceremony isle with the same eyes that quickly watered up at first sight of her in that beautiful wedding dress. This was a long time coming for these two and we were so happy to be part of it.
