Tomorrow's Our Big Day!!

May 31st marks our company's 2nd year anniversary, and we are very excited for the big day tomorrow at the Honolulu Design Center! We are anticipating a packed house (over 200+ confirmed guests!), and can't wait to present a series of videos that looks back on an incredible year. Doors open at 6pm...we'll see you there!!

Cecele and Greg Married!

Cecele and Greg left hustle and bustle of their home in Las Vegas to have their wedding at Merriman's Restaurant in Maui. The two have known each other for a very long time, and after raising a family, decided it was time to officially tie the knot. Cecele and Greg had a very small, and intimate ceremony, and the following reception was done in the same fashion with no real formal program. In fact, the reception was essentially a chance for Cecele and Greg's family and friends to share some good company with each other...over drinks of course :)

There were so many memorable things that happened at Shayna and Lance's wedding! The ceremony and reception was held at the Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center, upcountry Maui. The view was simply amazing with a big open lawn. The weather was perfect.

2013 Isle Media Company Shoot!

In light of our two year anniversary this month, we decided to gather the team together for our annual company photo shoot! We shot two themes...a formal black & white look, and a bold, colorful hipster theme. The shoot was done over at Foton Studio. Zairrah and her team provided hair/makeup for the girls, Alan and the video team filmed some BTS stuff for our May 31st showcase, and the photo team conducted the photo shoot. Below are the updated portraits for each member of our team. Enjoy!

Jen and Kaipo Engaged

Jen and Kaipo were by far the most fun couple that I have had the opportunity to do Engagement photos for yet.  There was not a moment where I could turn my back without fear of losing a good shot from them.  They were so fun and easy going and great to talk to and observe; it did not even feel like a formal engagement shoot and instead seemed like I was photographing them having fun with each other.  My favorite part of the shoot was when they were slow dancing on the beach while I went to go swap cameras.  They were amazed that I photographed them while they danced at the water's edge; it really made for a memorable experience for the three of us.

Introducing Duncan Kamakana !

If I had to use 1 word to describe Rose and Jesse's wedding, it would be "fun". They had such heart warming energy in their family and friends. A lot of Jesse's family flew in from Cincinnati, Ohio just to help them celebrate their special day!

Eric and Chris Same-Day-Edit (Hale Koa, Honolulu)

We've shot at the Hale Koa many times, but there were many "firsts" for us this time around when shooting Erin and Chris' wedding :

(1) passing cards around a doorway without looking
(2) indoor ceremony due to weather
(3) ending with a bang! (you'll just have to watch)

These elements made for quite an original piece from us that we were very proud of. Their cute song selection matched perfectly with their charismatic and bubbly personalities.

Mario and Rachel Engaged

When my friends Rachel and Mario announced that they were getting married I was immediately excited for them.  Mario especially wanted an engagement shoot that had an urban/cityscape feel; it made the photo shoot personal for them because of Mario's roots in Las Vegas where he lived prior to moving to Hawaii.  We started the day at the top of a building in Ward and ended with some night photography at Magic Island to capture the city's lights in the background.
