Christina and Dwight's Post Wedding Shoot

Christina and Dwight came down to hawaii for a vacation and wanted to have a beach shoot.  They were very animated and wonderful to work with.  We shot at Paradise Cove where we were lucky that the tide was extremely low and allowed us to see some of of the marine life that lives along the shoreline not to mention an epic sunset which allowed for more amazing shots.  My personal favorite is the heroic pose I had them do towards the end of the shoot inspired from their professions which allow them to help and protect others.

Grace and Daniel Same-Day Edit (Ko'olau Ballrooms, Kaneohe)

Grace and Daniel decided to go for a 50's Retro theme for their wedding, from the decor, to the bridal party wardrobe, to Grace's stylish veil. The wedding was held at the Ko'olau Ballrooms, and despite some wet weather, the day was filled with great moments and entertainment. Maohi Nui and Da Braddas kept the audience at the edge of their seats, and we can tell you there was absolutely no shortage of laughter :)

Josephine and Charlie Wedding Highlights (Lanikuhonua, Koolina)

Josephine and Charlie exude qualities that we admire in our clients...fun...hip... and stylish! (can't ignore that Charlie has really nice hair). They surprised us by reserving a rustic VW bus that was used to transport the bridal party from Ihiliani to Lanikuhonua, as well as serve as an obstruction for their first look. And Lanikuhonua sure did not let us down by giving all of us an amazing sunset that kickstarted the evening festivities.

And did you know that Christina Perry's "Thousand Years" has a part II? We had no idea...until now! : )

Elaine & Kevin Married!

I met Elaine and Kevin for the first time exactly a week before their wedding day. Their wedding plan had been moved up, with the wedding happening this June instead of next year :) I met them several times before the wedding day to get to know them, and I was happy to capture their fun personalities with each other! Kevin was very good at making Elaine laugh :-) Enjoy the highlight pictures from their wedding day!

Johnelle and Kegal-Joe's Wedding Highlights (Officer's Club, Hickam )

Johnelle and Kegal-Joe Married!

What I loved about shooting Johnelle and Kegal-Joe's wedding was their down to earth vibe and willingness to express their personalities.  Their wedding and reception that followed took place at Hickam Air Force Base's Officer's Club.  There were key moments through out their special day that stood out to me; like the emotional mother and son dance, Kegal-Joe dressing up in his mechanic attire while getting the garter from Johnelle for the garter toss.  My most favorite part of their wedding though would have to be recognizing the missing groomsman who could not be part of their special day because he was serving in Afghanistan; he was there in spirit as well as glossy photo cutout form.

Jade and Jeff Engaged!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was when Jade told me she wanted to do a basketball-themed engagement shoot! Jade and Jeff both love the sport, and went all-out for the shoot. Aside from the custom printed jerseys (#23 for Jordan), they also bought new pairs of Jordans, and stenciled their wedding date on the basketball...pretty darn cool :)

Kay and I had a blast taking photos of these two in their element, and we ended up playing a game of Horse with them! (Of course we lost lol). We finished the shoot over at Waikiki, and we were lucky to snag a stunning sunset, considering the overcast skies we had prior to it.

Elisa and Jason Same-Day-Edit ! (Luau Gardens, Waikiki)

Elisa and Jason both have very strong ties to their Chinese heritage. The morning was packed with traditions (and non-traditional) games, releasing of the daughter, sweet desserts and tea ceremonies (x2). So many tears and even more laughter, all at once. Following the morning, the groom and groomsman had an ambitious afternoon packed with preparation and display of their custom made decor. The many hours sure paid off and the reception was absolutely gorgeous.
