| Brittni and Sam had a wonderful intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. Their ceremony took place at the Kamehameha Schools Bishop Memorial Chapel where the Kahu who officiated the wedding reminisced about his memories of Brittni and Sam. The festivities continued at the Bishop Museum where I had a blast taking photos of the wedding party while waiting for the reception to start. It was the most energetic group of people I have ever had the opportunity to photograph yet! They were so expressive and willing to just have fun and enjoy themselves. Melissa and Keith had a very interesting story on how they first met at work (Echo, Pearlridge) to later becoming better acquainted at Chilis (more to their story, here). Through the years they were fortunate to raise two children together, building up to the day where they would get married.
Melissa and Keith celebrated their big day at the Ihilani Resort out at Ko'olina with their friends and family, many of whom flew in just for the wedding. From the beautiful ceremony, to the heartfelt first dance, we couldn't have been more happier for the both of them.

| One awesome part of our job is that we get to work with couples from around the world! Amy and Gary had an amazing 6 day Indian wedding last month in Kailua, with all their relatives flying in from Vancouver and India. During formals after the wedding, the couple wanted some spectacular views of the island, so we decided to take them up Lanikai Pillboxes. And yes, in case you were wondering, they climbed up in their full wedding attire. Major props to them for doing that! Every single hiker we passed on the hike was astounded by the sight of us, and stopped to take photos lol. The image above is a panorama, so be sure to click on it for a larger view! | Time sure flies! On May31st, we celebrated our 2nd Year Anniversary at the Honolulu Design Center! Family, friends, industry partners, as well as past, present, and future clients were invited to this event as a thank you for helping us get this far. I've known Danny personally for over 10 years, first meeting him when I was 18 years old during my college years. We came to know one another via an ad for a high-rise, penthouse apartment in Downtown Honolulu. I was dying to live there, but at the time I had no job, just a measly student. Danny was the property manager. My interview consisted of one question. "Are you going to pay the rent?" Danny asked me. I responded with a confident "YES!" and there he handed me the key. (...he must have known I was a good guy!!) Little did we both realize, but we would remain friends for over a decade, and 14 years later, we are now getting booked to cover his big day. We are all so very happy (and relieved, HA!) he is marrying Shar, a very talented local artist/musican/songwriter. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside (go Danny!). Sidenote :: Many of our followers know that I am one of the videographers for Isle Media. Being that Danny and I had so much history, I decided to take a stab at their engagement photos. | It's not too often that we get to shoot a wedding at a spectacular venue like Kahua Ranch on the Big Island. It's even rarer to have the chance to revisiting the venue with the couple to do more wedding photos. | Being there and being an integral part of Marie and Maurice's wedding day was special because it was the most intimate setting that I have personally ever been in for a wedding. Alan and I was there with them at every step of the way when we trekked from Turtle Bay, to Giovanni's shrimp truck for lunch where Maurice got to tag their initials on the truck and were given a funnel cake and a bracelet by one of the pop up shops near by. Afterwards we had a spur of the moment photo shoot in front of Crawford's Convalescent Home and finally made our way to Lanikohonua to make things official for these two. What made it most special was the fact that this wedding was an adventure not just for Marie and Maurice but for us as well and for that they will always hold a special place in our hearts.
