Michi and Morgan Wedding Highlights (Halekulani, Oahu)

The Hawaiian Islands, a melting pot where East meets West, was very fitting for Michi and Morgan to have their wedding. Something that really fascinated me was the exquisite detail of Michi's wedding dress, along with the elegance of her veil and gloves. Why don't western women wear white gloves? So classy! Morgan wasn't so bad himself in his Military garb. : )

Michele and Jeff Married!

Michele and Jeff's wedding brought us to the Kamehameha Golf Club in Maui on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The couple chose a cool coral and white color scheme for their wedding, and packed their reception with a bunch of surprises, from the Harlem Shake to Jeff's surprise singing performance for Michele. Congratulations guys!

Makeup & Hair for Nicolle!

Nicole loved her clean and very chic  bridal look!  She requested her hair to be styled in a low off centered chignon.  A fresh gradenia  flower was pinned behind the ear to add extra sweetness to her look.  The highlights in her hair gives this hairstyle a nice  texture and depth.  Her makeup was kept natural and clean giving her a polished bridal look.  As she stepped oustide her waikiki apartment lanai, I was able to capture some shots of her through the glass sliding door.

Jason and Emily Same-Day-Edit! (Halekulani, Waikiki)

Jason, local boy originally from Kaneohe, planned a small and intimate destination wedding from Seattle. Being that Jason is a DJ, we were very conscientious about the musical details that Emily and him both seemed to appreciate. We really enjoyed working with you two! Congratulations.

Elisa and Jason Married!

One of the wonderful aspects of shooting weddings is that we get to step into the lives and cultures of our couples. In Elisa and Jason's case, their Cantonese and Mandarin traditions shined through, from the tea ceremonies, to the "games" that Jason had to pass before he could bring Elisa over to his family's house. The fact that we got to spend the entire day with the couple and their families gave us the opportunity to really take in the cultural voice of this special group. Elisa and Jason got married at the Luau Gardens at the Hale Koa, and decked out their venue with an elegant royal blue and yellow theme, with much attention to details. The reception was a blast, starting off with each bridal party member strolling onto the stage, singing to a favorite song that represented them. A dance-off competition for the guests, and emotional speeches rounded out the evening, with everyone cheering, crying, and anything in between throughout the night.

Elisa and Jason wanted to make sure everyone had fun at their wedding, and all we can say is you guys definitely accomplished that! Congratulations!

Cecele and Greg Wedding Highlights (Merriman's, Maui)

Cecele and Greg left hustle and bustle of their home in Las Vegas to have their wedding at Merriman's Restaurant in Maui. The two have known each other for a very long time, and after raising a family, decided it was time to officially tie the knot. Cecele and Greg had a very small, and intimate ceremony, and the following reception was done in the same fashion with no real formal program. In fact, the reception was essentially a chance for Cecele and Greg's family and friends to share some good company with each other...over drinks of course :)

Pacific Edge Magazine Summer Launch

Pacific Edge Magazine celebrated their 2013 Summer launch recently introducing their first ever completely sustainable issue.  The event took place at Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki and had speakers who were featured in the issue who talked more about what makes them sustainable and the importance of  this philosophy and practice.  What made this event more special was an appearance by Senator Mike Gabbard who presented the Small Business Administration's "Women in Business Champion of the Year" Award.

Laurel and Ken Married!

Laurel and Ken have been long-time followers of our work, and it was an absolute delight to be with them on their wedding day! The couple got married at the stunning grounds of Sunset Ranch up on the North Shore. The rain played games with us all day, but it didn't phase Laurel and Ken one bit...plus those oil paper umbrellas came in handy :) Ken is a huge fan of Star Wars, so some elements from that series were included throughout the day. Lots of love was put into this wedding, as many of the details, from the guest check-in station, to the ceremony arch, were all made by family and friends of the couple. Thank you Laurel and Ken for having us at your wedding...congratulations!!

The event took place at Aloha tower... packed with both young and seasoned entrepreneurs and ambitious business owners. Linda and Tony Wedding Highlights (Lanikuhonua, Koolina)

Linda and Tony, hailing from Vancouver, Canada, have always dreamed of having their wedding in Hawaii and on April 23rd, made that dream a reality. The couple celebrated their big day at Lanikuhonua, one of our favorite venues for its signature look. Linda and Tony's 2 years of planning was evident in the attention to detail and thoughtfulness in design for every element of their wedding.

They utilized both our video and photo services and we were able to represent our style wonderfully with our signature flare, natural light, and sunset shots. We don't have to tell you how much fun this wedding was...just check out the video and photos!

We are so fortunate to frequently travel to outer island destinations, such as Maui, where we have limitless access gorgeous backdrops and scenery. Most importantly, Maui people are really nice. : ) Michele and Jefferson were married at Kamehameha Golf Course. We had some fun on the carts....lol.

Christina and Dwight's Post Wedding Shoot

Christina and Dwight came down to hawaii for a vacation and wanted to have a beach shoot.  They were very animated and wonderful to work with.  We shot at Paradise Cove where we were lucky that the tide was extremely low and allowed us to see some of of the marine life that lives along the shoreline not to mention an epic sunset which allowed for more amazing shots.  My personal favorite is the heroic pose I had them do towards the end of the shoot inspired from their professions which allow them to help and protect others.

Grace and Daniel Same-Day Edit (Ko'olau Ballrooms, Kaneohe)

Grace and Daniel decided to go for a 50's Retro theme for their wedding, from the decor, to the bridal party wardrobe, to Grace's stylish veil. The wedding was held at the Ko'olau Ballrooms, and despite some wet weather, the day was filled with great moments and entertainment. Maohi Nui and Da Braddas kept the audience at the edge of their seats, and we can tell you there was absolutely no shortage of laughter :)

Josephine and Charlie Wedding Highlights (Lanikuhonua, Koolina)

Josephine and Charlie exude qualities that we admire in our clients...fun...hip... and stylish! (can't ignore that Charlie has really nice hair). They surprised us by reserving a rustic VW bus that was used to transport the bridal party from Ihiliani to Lanikuhonua, as well as serve as an obstruction for their first look. And Lanikuhonua sure did not let us down by giving all of us an amazing sunset that kickstarted the evening festivities.

And did you know that Christina Perry's "Thousand Years" has a part II? We had no idea...until now! : )

Elaine & Kevin Married!

I met Elaine and Kevin for the first time exactly a week before their wedding day. Their wedding plan had been moved up, with the wedding happening this June instead of next year :) I met them several times before the wedding day to get to know them, and I was happy to capture their fun personalities with each other! Kevin was very good at making Elaine laugh :-) Enjoy the highlight pictures from their wedding day!

Johnelle and Kegal-Joe's Wedding Highlights (Officer's Club, Hickam )

Johnelle and Kegal-Joe Married!

What I loved about shooting Johnelle and Kegal-Joe's wedding was their down to earth vibe and willingness to express their personalities.  Their wedding and reception that followed took place at Hickam Air Force Base's Officer's Club.  There were key moments through out their special day that stood out to me; like the emotional mother and son dance, Kegal-Joe dressing up in his mechanic attire while getting the garter from Johnelle for the garter toss.  My most favorite part of their wedding though would have to be recognizing the missing groomsman who could not be part of their special day because he was serving in Afghanistan; he was there in spirit as well as glossy photo cutout form.

Jade and Jeff Engaged!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was when Jade told me she wanted to do a basketball-themed engagement shoot! Jade and Jeff both love the sport, and went all-out for the shoot. Aside from the custom printed jerseys (#23 for Jordan), they also bought new pairs of Jordans, and stenciled their wedding date on the basketball...pretty darn cool :)

Kay and I had a blast taking photos of these two in their element, and we ended up playing a game of Horse with them! (Of course we lost lol). We finished the shoot over at Waikiki, and we were lucky to snag a stunning sunset, considering the overcast skies we had prior to it.

Elisa and Jason Same-Day-Edit ! (Luau Gardens, Waikiki)

Elisa and Jason both have very strong ties to their Chinese heritage. The morning was packed with traditions (and non-traditional) games, releasing of the daughter, sweet desserts and tea ceremonies (x2). So many tears and even more laughter, all at once. Following the morning, the groom and groomsman had an ambitious afternoon packed with preparation and display of their custom made decor. The many hours sure paid off and the reception was absolutely gorgeous.
